Now that I'm six months postpartum, I wanted to share some of my favorite items for the mom-to-be! Here are a few items I found extra helpful.
Shapewear: After Valentina was born I started using a belly wrap. I used it for about six weeks after her birth. It's suppose to be very helpful with belly binding and supports your back. But after the belly wrap, I can't imagine living without my shapewear haha. I started using it at around 4 months postpartum. It makes your clothes go on nice and smooth and I feel like it even makes you look 5-10 pounds slimmer. One of my favorites is SKIMS by Kim Kardashian. Yes, it really does live up to the hype. I love that the shapewear comes in many different colors to suit every skin tone. It provides great tummy control too, but it's not too restricting and it doesn't slide down. I've been using the Sculpting High Waist Brief. I also really want to try the Bonded Brief, which has more support, but it's currently not available online.
Nursing Bras: If you're nursing, then you should highly consider a nursing bra. They make life so much easier. I love these nursing bras from Target. Not only are they inexpensive, they are under $20 bucks, but they are very comfortable, having padding and I love the bralette style.
FridaMom Postpartum Kit: After delivery, these items come in very handy to help with postpartum recovery. The entire portfolio of Frida Mom includes: an upside down peri-bottle, 2-in-1- instant ice maxi pads, witch hazel pad liners, perineal healing foam (instead of spray) and mesh underwear. You can also get the items individually.
Comfortable Pajamas/Loungewear: These have been one of my favorite pajamas. They are super comfortable and I love that they are button-down, which makes it very helpful during nighttime feedings. You also can't beat the price. Target, $21
