My Indoor Skydiving Experience with iFly {Fort Lauderdale, Florida}

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go indoor skydiving at iFly in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I did the real thing when I was 18-years-old, but now as a mom, I just can't imagine myself jumping out of a perfectly fine airplane. So the next best thing---indoor skydiving!

In case you're not familiar with iFly, it's an indoor skydiving facility that replicates the experience of skydiving. It features a 14-foot diameter wind tunnel. You fly with an instructor who is professionally certified in the sport of indoor skydiving. It was such a cool experience, even my five-year-old did it. Andy has been obsessed with flying ever since watching Peter Pan, so he was excited that this was the closest he'll get to flying.

As soon as you arrive, you attend a short class where they explain the basic rules and hand signals. As I mentioned, the entire time you're with your instructor in the tunnel. After the class it's time to get suited up. They provide everything from the flight gear, helmet, goggles and ear plugs.

My flight lasted approximately one minute and a half and we all came out with a huge smile on our faces.

Thanks again iFly, Fort Lauderdale for the great opportunity! Check out this video of my flight.
