Our little guy recently started pre-school and as most of my moms out there might agree, trying to get your child ready for school, while attempting to make yourself look somewhat presentable (and not like you just rolled out of bed) can sometimes be challenging. So I thought I'd start a fun little series on the blog called School Drop-Off Style to show you what I wear to drop-off my son at school.
As a work-at-home mom, it forces me to get out of my pajamas or work-out clothes and actually get dressed for the day. I've been learning to find a balance between putting together outfits that are still stylish, but appropriate and comfy as well.
Here's the outfit I wore today for school drop-off, it includes my go-to shoes, slip-ons. Although I love heels, I find flats so much easier to put on while I'm running out the door. I paired them with grey skinny jeans, a classic white blouse (an easy outfit-maker), and a black leather jacket (it was actually chilly in Miami today).
I didn't have time to do my hair this morning ha ha, so I went for a simple and easy side fish-tail braid. And voila! You have a simple outfit that works for school drop-off. I like to call it my "cool" mommy look.
Let me know what you think of this series and if you'd like to see more.
