I've always loved the idea of staycations. They're so relaxing, stress-free and it lets me play tourist in my own city. They're are also great when you have a toddler--no need to get on a plane or drive for long hours.
Last weekend we stayed at the W in Fort Lauderdale. It was amazing--stylish and modern, overlooking the beach, delicious restaurants and exceptional service. The hubby had to work, so I decided to make it a little girl's trip with my mom and sister.
The rooms at the W were so cozy. Once the little one feel asleep at night, we simply closed the sliding doors and we hung out in the living room watching movies. The room even had a washer and dryer, it was heaven. And how cute does my mommy look with her floppy hat?
The room also had a full-kitchen, which as you know by now is one of my favorite luxuries in a hotel room (especially when there are bottles to wash at night and milk to warm up lol).
The enormous pool was overlooking the beach along with these beautiful cabanas. I also treated my mom to a massage at the Bliss Spa (located inside the hotel).

Andres Sebastian, exploring the hotel and obviously fascinated by this tree trunk.
Have you ever planned a staycation in your own town? If you're planning one in Fort Lauderdale or just traveling to the area, I'd highly recommend this hotel.
