Beauty: What's in My Makeup Bag
I do a lot of TV segments for work and over the years I’ve learned to (somewhat) master a quick camera-ready look. Although my makeup bag is often filled to the brim, here are a few of my key essentials that I always have handy in my makeup bag.
{From Upper Left to Right}
1. Nair™ Brazilian Spa Clay Face Wax Strips—Between being a mom and work, I barely have time to make it to the beauty salon. Luckily, these Nair™ Brazilian Spa Clay Face Wax Strips are my on-the-go solution for my upper lip and eyebrows. These handy strips warm by rubbing between your hands and include mango butter and acai berry.
2. Mouthwash- My dad always carried a travel-size mouthwash with him, so I learned this tip from him.
3. Bronzer: I always avoid getting sun on my face, so I opt for a bronzer to add some color to my skin. NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder looks natural and leaves a nice sun-kissed glow.
4. Kabuki Brush: I love this kabuki brush that I bought at Sephora for applying my bronzer.
5. Loose Powder: After I apply my foundation, I finish my look with a loose powder. This one is from Urban Decay and is called ‘Naked Skin.’
6. Urban Decay Ink for Eyes: I use this waterproof, precision eye pen to add some color to my upper and lower eyelashes.
7. Eyebrow Brush: I always keep this handy for perfectly shaped eyebrows.
8. Mascara: I’m always switching up my mascara, but lately I’ve been using Lancôme Definicils , which is very natural looking and doesn’t look clumpy.
9. Giorgio Armani ‘Luminous Silk Foundation:’ I swear by this foundation for my TV segments – especially with all the HD cameras. It makes your skin look flawless. During the day, I wear it as a spot concealer when I don’t want to wear heavy makeup.
10. Lipgloss: A girl could never have too many lip glosses right? Lately I’ve been really into pinks that gives you a nice, healthy look and I really like this one from NAKED called ‘Streak.’
11. Dark Circle Corrector: For those nights when I barely get any sleep, this dark circle corrector from Avon works like a charm, illuminating dark circles, so it looks like you actually got a good night’s sleep.
12. Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick: When I have an important TV segment coming up and feel a pimple making an appearance (ugh!), I use this herbal blemish stick from Burt’s Bees. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t, but I’m still giving it a try.
13. Travel Size Perfume: I always keep a travel size perfume in my car and in my make-up bag.
