Lying on a hammock with my sleepy baby on my birthday |
This past week the family and I headed to Key West to celebrate my birthday. I turned the Big 3-0 on Monday. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I remember when I turned 25 I had a little "mid-life crises." I was being silly, I know. I was super unhappy at my day job and wasn't even sure if I was on the right path. But now that I'm 30, everything feels in place. I have my beautiful family and I get to work for myself on my blog doing something that I absolutely love. I was only 24 when I started it and it taught me how to pursue my passions, work hard and to take risks. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I learned a lot in my 20s. Most importantly I learned to become comfortable in my own skin. I stopped worrying what other people would think. Becoming a mother has also made me more aware of myself. For example, how I need to take better care of myself....workout more and eat healthy. And overall strive to be a better person each and every day.
I'm grateful to God for another birthday I get to celebrate. It's a privilege not all people get. Here's a picture on how I spent my birthday, with the hubby and lying on a hammock with my beautiful son. Have a great weekend.
Sounds like much wisdom - Happy Birthday
