As a new mom, I guess you can say I’ve learned (or better yet, I’ve been forced to learn) to become a speed dresser--I can even get ready quicker than my husband now! Whether it’s taking the little one to his check-up, running errands or pulling clothes for my latest TV segments, here are a few tips and tricks that help me get ready in no time.
Look for All-In-One Pieces: Rompers are one of my favorite all-in-one looks when I’m crunched for time. You basically put it on and you’re dressed, no need to worry about what blouse matches with your jeans and so forth. It’s also a great alternative to a dress, especially since most of the time I’m chasing after my one-year-old. This romper is also a bit dressier and kind of already looks like a dress anyways.
Easy Slip On Shoes: Look for shoes that easily slip on and off like ballet flats or sandals that easily zip-up like these.
Don’t Forget your Skin! Many of us know we should be using body lotion every day, but don’t because it takes too long to apply and absorb before we can put on our clothes….and that’s where Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer comes in. I’m in LOVE with this spray! It’s a continuous spray lotion that moisturizes deeply and absorbs in seconds. The best part is it leaves your skin feeling instantly soft, without being sticky or greasy. It’s become part of my daily routine before stepping out the door. I simply spray it all over my body and then rub in and voila! You can find it at food drug and mass retailers for just $7.99.
A Hat Covers Up a Bad Hair Day: Didn’t get a chance to fix your hair in the morning? No problem, simply wear a hat. I personally love fedoras, but any hat will do. A braid is also a quick solution when you’re having a bad hair day.
