Dress and Belt from LOFT |
Yesterday I was on NBC's '6 in the Mix' in Miami sharing tips on how to get a desk to dinner look. With so many of us always on the go, it's not always that easy to go back home and change outfits. So I created outfits that can easily be transformed with a quick change of accessories. Here's a picture I took with one of my models in her dinner look and how you can get your own desk to dinner look from LOFT.
For the office look, we simply styled the dress as a skirt by pairing it with this sweater. This is an easy tip to get multiple uses out of your dresses, especially for dresses that otherwise wouldn't work for the office (like this one that has a plunging neckline). Just make sure the dress falls right above your knees, we don't want any miniskirts at the office.
Look #1 Office Look
Black Full Skirt Dress, $89
Farley Metallic Ballet Flats, $49.50
Bow Neck Striped Sweater, $54
For the dinner look, we simply swapped the sweater for a statement necklace, which instantly adds a bit of glam to the outfit. We also changed the ballet flats for these red strappy sandals to give it a pop of color.
Look #2 Dinner Look
Black Full Skirt Dress, $89
Live in Pink Necklace, $69
Strappy Sandals, $79
Disclosure: I am a spokesperson for LOFT, however this is not a sponsored post :)
