Ready, Set Accessorize + $100 Starbucks Gift Card Giveaway!

This summer it's all about Pantone's color of the year, Emerald Green. It's been all over the runways and red carpets. If you don't have it in your closet already, you'll definitely want to add it pronto! Best of all, it's a color that goes well with all skin tones and hair color. To show you how to wear this latest trend, I've partnered with Starbucks to highlight how to rock this color during the hot summer months paired with an iced beverage.

For my look, I wanted to show you how to wear an emerald green dress four different ways. I scored this dress for under $50 at Zara. This dress is so versatile and can easily be dressed up for work or dressed down by simply changing a few accessories. To beat the heat, I tried Starbuck's Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino and I have to say it tastes uh-mazing. I'm a huge caramel fan!

What's your go-to piece for the summer? Tomorrow I'll be showing you how to wear an emerald green blouse two different ways.

I'm also excited to share that we'll be giving away a $100 Starbucks gift card to one lucky Viva Fashion reader. All you have to do to enter is submit a photo of your best summer look. I can't wait to see them.

How to Enter:
  • Simply tweet or Instagram your best summer outfit. Be sure to include @VivaFashion for Twitter and/or @Viva_Fashion for Instagram and include hashtag #strawsome  #greenstraw
  • You can enter as many times as you'd like and include several outfits.

Contest end July 10th at 12pm (EST). Good Luck!

For a work appropriate outfit, I simply kept the accessories to a minimum and added a few bracelets, a neutral colored bag and nude pumps.

This look would be perfect for grabbing brunch with friends. I simply paired the dress with a jean jacket to tone down the look and added some snakeskin flats and a beaded clutch.

For a day out in the sun, I wanted to keep it simple so I added a pair of brown leather flats, a beaded necklace and a straw bag for a rather casual look.

For an extra laid-back look, I paired my green dress with a fedora (my go-to piece for the summer) and added a linen scarf and brown leather flats. Scarves are not just for the winter, they can instantly make any outfit pop--just be sure to look for light fabrics such as linen or cotton.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, however all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the sponsors that make Viva Fashion possible.

  1. I had no idea emerald green is the color right now. It's lovely. I'm looking out for emerald green stuff now. Like the dress, by the way. It's obviously versatile.
