So remember how I told you a couple of months back about the frantic call I got from my friend asking me if I knew of any good anti-wrinkle creams? (here’s a link to the post in case you don’t remember) She’s only 25 and started to see some wrinkles underneath her eyes. Before her call, I’d never really considered using anti-wrinkle creams, but needless to say, after that call I’ve been on the hunt to find the perfect anti-wrinkle eye cream.
I went to my dermatologist and asked for her recommendation on over-the-counter anti-wrinkle eye creams and thought I’d share. She ended up recommending a brand by the name of ROC. I’d never heard of it, but she mentioned that I could find it at drugstores, such as CVS or Walgreens. She also mentioned, when choosing an anti-wrinkle cream, to look out for ingredients such as Vitamin C or Vitamin A, which both have antioxidants. Antioxidants can help in repairing the skin from sun-damage. I spent about $24 on the eye cream and started using it last week. Her last recommendation of course was to drink lots and lots of water and try to stay out of the sun (kinda hard when you live in Miami), but a good SPF (which you should also wear daily) will do the trick.
That all sounds like good advice. i'm getting older and wonder if i should consider trying an anti-wrinkle cream. Maybe i should pick some ROC up. The tube looks like it's 15 ml ? Do you know how long a tube should last if applied at the recommended rate?
ReplyDeleteI've been using it for only a week... but I'm guessing it should last a good 3-4 months. You're only suppose to dab a very minimal amount around the eye. I'll keep you posted on how long it lasts. :)
